My background is in Eastern spirituality and meditation-based approaches to self-awareness. In my work I often utilise Mindfulness techniques, which have been proven to effectively address depression, anxiety and stress. Additionally, through my employment as a mental health counsellor at City of Oxford College I have experience supporting young adults. I have helped clients address the following life issues:

Cultural adaptation
Depression, stress and anxiety
Loss, which includes loss related to health, relationship or employment
Low self-esteem
Relationship problems

What do I offer?

I offer both short-term and long-term counselling, depending on your specific needs.

Approach and orientation

My counselling practice is an integration of the person-centred, existential and transpersonal therapies. It embodies an approach that emphasises self-empowerment and personal insight to effectively address impediments to inner freedom.

Philosophy on counselling and psychotherapy

Counselling is a gentle process that helps restore our sense of harmony and balance amidst the changes and setbacks that accompany life experience. It provides an atmosphere of warmth and emotional safety where we are free to be completely ourselves, without conditions and without fear of being judged. Therapy helps us draw on inner resources to achieve the peace and contentment that are our birthright. Through a course of therapy subtle adjustments to our inner lives emerge as we learn to change our world from the inside out.
