Experience
I can support you in working through your past experiences, engaging with your current realities and creating a better future for yourself. Life’s losses and changes challenge us to find new ways to live a full life.
I have been in private practice since 2007, seeing clients individually. Before then I spent 10 years as a careers counsellor. I facilitate wellbeing, mindfulness and stress reduction workshops. I have written 2 books on identity and edited a community magazine. I also facilitate therapeutic writing workshops.
What do I offer?
I offer a non-judgmental, confidential and safe space to help you explore your thoughts, emotions and feelings. I offer one-to-one work with adults over 16, both short term and long term.
Approach and orientation
My training in Integrative Psychosynthesis gives me the skills to listen to the whole person: Body, mind, and soul. There is also space to explore dreams, imagination, creativity and art. It is gentle but effective.
Philosophy on counselling and psychotherapy
Counselling can support you in making sense of who we are today, your past experiences and your future hopes. It is a confidential and safe space. For many of my clients counselling results in gaining insight, self-appreciation and balance. By giving yourself this space for self-care you can become more open, courageous and confident to live a more authentic and fulfilling life.
