Youth mental health has reached a crisis point with 18% of children aged 7-16 and 26% of young adults aged 17-19 suffering with a mental health condition (Gov.uk).
This 3 hour workshop for all therapists will look at and consider the reasons for the increase in children and young people seeking mental health support. It will address issues of post-Covid anxiety, social media and the impact of global warming on our children and young people. The workshop will explore how we can offer therapeutic support to children, young people and adults caring for and working with this group.
The event will be a mixture of discussion and experiential learning. The focus is for counsellors and psychotherapists from various settings to feel they have a robust understanding of the unique issues facing this young client group.
