Introduction
I am passionate about understanding and helping people change the many ways our earliest developmental and attachment experiences play out in our adult lives. To this end, I specialise in 1:1 in-depth psychotherpeutic work. I work from a trauma-informned and neurodiversity-informed perspective with a special interest in intergenerational trauma. I have a solid, confident, and kind presence in the therapy room.
In my work, I often support clients with bereavement, loss, terminal illness, dying, and death. To provide my clients with an alternative to talking therapy, I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR). This treatment is recommended by National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and for processes traumatic memories.
Before building a private practice, I worked as a therapist within community, charity and NHS settings in London. Some of my roles involved co-facilitating an art therapy group in an inpatient mental health unit and delivering crisis support at a drop-in centre.
My knowledge and training is grounded further through ongoing supervision, professional networking, and peer group meetings. As part of continued professional development, I have trained in systemic and body-based approaches such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and systemic constellation work.
I’m inspired by the words of Irvin Yalom:
I feel blessed being a therapist: watching others open up to life is extraordinarily satisfying.
– Staring at the Sun (2008).
