Fast-paced breathwork: Understanding safe practice

March 03, 2026
< Back to news

Breathwork offers many different pathways into rest, awareness, and nervous system support. Not all techniques, however, are suited to every individual.

Fast-paced breathing practices can create strong physiological and psychological responses. While these can feel meaningful for some people, they also carry important considerations — particularly for those with certain medical or emotional health conditions.

At our partner venue The Studio, we support breath practices that prioritise accessibility, informed choice, and participant safety. We encourage working with psychologically qualified and trauma-experienced facilitators. We encourage and approaching breathwork with as a powerful psychological health intervention, not a recreational activity.

If you feel unsure about which practices are suitable for you, reach out to the team at The Studio by clicking here.

Your breath is personal. Taking time to explore it safely matters.
