Restore your soul with a Mini Retreat this June

May 10, 2026
< Back to news
Mini retreat with Tessa Venuti Sanderson yoga teacher

Welcome the summer with gentleness and calm at The Studio, Reading.

Treat yourself to some TLC on a Saturday afternoon. This mini retreat offers spacious, restful time to move your body, soothe your nervous system, and slow down.

Gentle yoga will help unwind physical aches and tiredness – no previous experience needed.

Then a mindful craft activity or mindful colouring (no artistic ability needed!) while listening to calming music or chatting to a like-minded person will enable connection.

The afternoon will finish with a deeply restorative yoga nidra practice, helping you recharge for the rest of the weekend. And yes, there will be healthy, delicious treats too.

The retreat is led by Tessa Venuti Sanderson, an experienced yoga teacher of over 20 years. The longer Tessa has taught, the more she has come to understand that listening to the body is key. Her trauma-informed approach offers choice rather than instruction, supporting people to find what feels right for them.

She is also experienced in facilitating listening circles, creating spaces where people can simply be themselves, and works alongside therapists and counsellors to offer a truly holistic approach to wellbeing.

This afternoon isn’t about fixing yourself or pushing through; it’s about listening, resting, and leaving with a little more ease than you arrived with.
