Introduction
Hi, I’m Jo, an integrative psychotherapist with over 12 years’ experience working with adults and young people 17+.
It takes courage to start therapy, which is why my approach is warm, relational, and paced entirely to suit you. I believe that real therapeutic work begins with establishing a safe and trusting relationship between therapist and client. What I offer is a little different from traditional talk therapy. I look at the whole person, adopting a holistic approach that integrates mind and body, drawing on psychotherapy, somatic enquiry, and mindfulness based approaches to help clients find a way forward that feels genuinely sustainable.
Every client has their own unique story and healing process. However, sometimes for clients it is hard to find words or express what needs to be said. As a qualified art psychotherapist, I also work with imagery, metaphor and sand tray to access deeper insight into the clients inner world.
I work with a range of presentations: anxiety, depression, trauma, OCD, addiction, bereavement, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, eating disorders, self-harm, ADHD, and autism. I am registered with UKCP, BACP and HCPC.
