Introduction
I specialise in supporting adults who are experiencing a loss of purpose or are struggling with questions around their own self-worth. These feelings can be deeply challenging and isolating, and may at times lead to difficult emotions, including thoughts of suicide. You can express and explore your difficult feelings with me. There’s no restriction on what you can talk about.
Areas You Might Wish to Explore
- Identity: Therapy can be a place to discuss who you are, how you perceive yourself, and who you aspire to become.
- Politics, Religion, Race, Sexuality, and Gender: All these topics are welcome here. I recognise that the personal is political and believe therapy is a suitable place to consider difficulties, biases, and beliefs that arise from living in a complex world.
- Sex and Intimacy: There is always space to talk about sex, particularly if it is a topic you have found difficult to approach elsewhere.
- Death and Grief: You can share experiences of loss, fears around death, the pain of bereavement, and the challenge of living with such feelings. Whether you wish to talk about those you have loved and lost or feelings around living while struggling with thoughts of death, there is room for grief, love, and ambivalence.
- Money: Financial matters can be uncomfortable yet significant. Therapy is a space to discuss wealth, poverty, debt, inheritance, or even what paying for therapy means to you.
- Sleep: You may wish to talk about the things that keep you awake at night, the nature of your dreams, or your overall sleep patterns.
Growth and Moving Forward
Alongside the difficult and painful aspects of life, therapy is also a space to move towards what you long for—finding calm, building confidence in relationships, sleeping restfully, laughing, and enjoying everyday moments again. There is room to rediscover laughter and to once again take pleasure in everyday moments. My role is to support you on this journey, helping you move forward at your own pace.
