Why do people start therapy?

May 20, 2026
< Back to news

There are many reasons why people choose to start therapy — and often, it begins with simply feeling that something no longer feels manageable alone.

At Mind Garden, some of the most common reasons people seek support include stress and anxiety, relationship concerns, and past experiences that may still feel heavy or difficult to move through.

Therapy offers a space to pause, reflect, feel heard, and better understand ourselves with compassion and support.

Every month, Mind Garden provides over 500 therapy sessions, supporting people through many different stages of life with a team of highly skilled therapists and counsellors.

If you’ve been thinking about reaching out, this could be your reminder that support is available. Evening appointments are currently available. Click here to see which therapists are available.
