How we select our Mind Garden therapists

December 01, 2025
< Back to news

At Mind Garden, we take great care in who joins our therapeutic community. Every practitioner here has been thoughtfully and rigorously vetted; not just for their qualifications, but for their depth, integrity and commitment to ethical practice.

Here’s what our process looks like:

1) Application screening
We review every application for accredited training, clinical experience, and importantly, the amount of personal therapy an applicant has engaged in. This is central to safe, self-aware therapeutic work.

2) In-depth interview & case study
Each practitioner completes a detailed interview where we explore their approach, values and clinical thinking. We’re looking for competence, transparency, self-reflection and a strong relational fit with Mind Garden.

3) Time to reflect
After the interview, we invite applicants to take time to consider whether Mind Garden feels like the right home for their private practice. A thoughtful match matters.

4) Six-month review
Once a therapist joins us, we check in to ensure clients are connecting well and that ethical and administrative standards continue to be met. Any concerns are handled promptly and with care.

This process helps us maintain a safe, grounded, and trusted environment for both clients and practitioners.
