Welcome to new MG therapist, Alex Jurgensen

We would like to offer a warm welcome to our new Mind Garden therapist, Alex Jurgensen.

Alex is a person-centred therapist, who also integrates elements of transpersonal psychology, mindfulness and meditation into his sessions with clients as appropriate.

He works with adults with a wide range of presenting issues, including stress and anxiety, depression and addiction, and has previously worked at Sue Ryder Duchess of Kent Hospice (Reading) with end-of-life patients and family members, and Change Grow Live (Manchester), where he worked with people struggling with substance misuse.

Alex says: “The therapy that I offer is designed with the goal of providing space to ourselves, to our difficult thoughts and emotions. As long as we keep them at arm’s length, or hidden in a dark corner, life will remain superficial, unsatisfying, and conflict-ridden.

“On the contrary, when we find the courage to face and understand our pain, not only do we find better ways of dealing with it, but it also becomes a pathway through which we can know ourselves more deeply.”

Alex has just opened up his availability and is accepting enquiries for appointments on Tuesday evening and Fridays.
